Congratulations to our Artistic Director, Peter Herresthal, and composer Missy Mazzoli, who have received two Grammy nominations for their album Mazzoli: Dark with Excessive Bright.
The album, which was released in 2023 on BIS Records, has been nominated in two categories: the Best Contemporary Classical Composition category; and the Best Classical Compendium category.
We welcomed Missy Mazzoli to Voksenåsen’s Composer Academy in 2022, and the cover photo for the album was taken during their visit to Svalbard.
The winners will be announced in a ceremony on 5th February 2024.
