Announcing the 29th Voksenåsen Summer Academy, 2nd-15th August 2025!
Calling all young musicians aged 18-28! Would you like to have lessons with some of the world’s finest musicians, meet fellow students from across the world, and stay in a beautiful, 4* hotel overlooking the Oslo fjord? Applications are open for our 2025 Summer Academy!
Our Artistic Directors, Peter Herresthal, Randi Stene, and Andreas Sundén, are delighted to once again invite a list of inspiring teachers to meet and work with our participants such as Isabelle Van Keulen, Susanna Eken, Danish String Quartet, Irène Theorin, to name a few. You can see the full teacher list, which will be updated periodically, here.
We offer our participants 1-1 masterclasses, group workshops, seminars, nightly concerts, and extra activities and opportunities focused on preparing you for a successful career in classical music. Plus yoga, karaoke, sauna, swims in nearby lakes or our heated swimming pool, and runs through the picturesque forest – come experience the best that Norwegian classical music summer courses has to offer!

Before starting the application make sure to have 3 audio/video files of self-selected repertoire, and a CV, ready.
Course dates:
Junior Voice: August 2 – August 5 (pm – depart after lunch) (for singers who have not yet graduated high school)
Voice: August 3 – August 7 (for singers in higher education)
Piano: August 3 – August 7
Winds (Bassoon, Clarinet, Flute, Horn, Oboe) : August 6 – August 10
Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello): August 11 – August 15
Harp: August 11 – August 15
