price & Scholarships

COURSE FEE 2026

The main part of the costs of the 2026 course is covered by The Norwegian Academy of Music, Dextra, The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Voksenåsen and Svensk-norska samarbetsfonden. Your fee covers some of your own accommodation, including meals.

The course fee is 6195 NOK (Junior Voice: 4570 NOK) and includes:

• All meals
• Accommodation at Voksenåsen hotel
• Access to all masterclasses and class lessons
• 4-5 masterclasses with teachers

Cancellation up to 1 month before course start – full refund.
Cancellation 1 month – 1 week* before course start: Half of the course fee will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 1 week* before course start: No refund.
*not due to sickness with a valid medical certificate.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Voksenåsen does not have any scholarships and will not be able to answer questions regarding other scholarships than from The Norwegian Academy of Music.

Students may be eligible for scholarships from their universities. Ask your university for guidance.

The Norwegian Academy of Music has a scholarship that can be granted to their students. Students from The Norwegian Academy of Music apply for scholarships automatically when applying for the Summer Academy. The scholarship amount (if granted) will be subtracted from the invoice for the course fee.

Questions regarding scholarship from The Norwegian Academy of Music may be directed to the Summer Academy or The Norwegian Academy of Music.

Students at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm may apply for a travel stipend. See more information at their website.

Students at Barratt-Due may apply for scholarship from Venneforeningen.

WHAT ARE THE REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENT?

The repertoire is self-selected. Choose the pieces that best represent you and your musical level.

WHAT MATERIAL DO I NEED TO PROVIDE IN MY APPLICATION?

Please, have ready a CV and at least one audio or video file of you playing. If you send a Youtube link, make sure that it is available for the whole duration of the application period, this includes past the deadline and up until you receive an acceptance/waitlist/ or decline email.

What happens after i apply?

After you have submitted your application, you will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail. Please check your spamfilter if you don’t receive it in your inbox.
After the application deadline, the teachers will evaluate all of the applications.
In May/June you will receive information about whether you have been accepted, are on the waiting list or have not been accepted to the Summer Academy.
