Repertoire

The repertoire is self-selected. Choose the pieces that best represent you and your musical level. Please make note of what repertoire you send in. It can be hard to remember if you have sent in your follow-up form many months in advance of the course start.

The piano resources are limited. We try to give a session with a pianist to all those who request one, but we cannot guarantee it.

Repertoire with piano*

Please write the full name of the piece, and which movements you wish to play with a pianist. If you wish to play the whole piece, please write the title of all the movements. Maximum two pieces. Example: J. Brahms, Clarinet sonata in F minor Op. 120, No. 1, 1. Allegro appassionato, 2. Andante un poco Adagio, 3. Allegretto grazioso, 4. Vivace.

Repertoire with piano*

Submit in total maximum 3 songs/arias with piano. Here you write ONLY repertoire you wish to perform with piano. We cannot guarantee that you will have a pianist at all of your lessons.

Repertoire without piano (solo repertoire)*

Submit in total maximum 3 songs/arias without piano. Here you write ONLY repertoire without piano.

Solo repertoire*

Submit in total minimum 3 pieces that you will prepare for the Summer Academy. We welcome a selection of works from different musical eras, and concertos are also very welcome.

Extra activity: LeadLab – a crash course in musical leadership

Voksenåsen Music Academy offers this year together with the Norwegian conductors program Dirigentløftet a brand new crash course for young musicians at an advanced artistic level. This course is developed to empower musicians as active contributors in the future music life. LeadLab is a 2 hours intensive course in the art and craft of leading an ensemble. Repertoire and level will be tailored to be relevant for the participants each day. It is suitable both for musicians with no experience and for musicians with experience wanting to develop. There will be small groups of participants to give a safe environment to develop your musicality to leadership qualities. In addition to the lab working in practice with short pieces, every participant will get individual technical guidance and a follow up plan on request. The course is led by Swedish conductor Andreas Hanson in collaboration with leading young Nordic conductors. Andreas has in addition to conducting and teaching conducting at music academy level, for the last six years developed a LeadLab, working with a wide range of professional musicians, giving them tools to take the lead.
