Huge congratulations to NOVO Quartet, who have been selected to join the BBC New Generation Artist scheme for 2 years from September 2025!
The scheme provides performance opportunities at some of the UK’s major venues and festivals, as well as regular broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 that are heard across the UK and Europe through the European Broadcasting Union. They were selected for the prestigious talent development scheme by Emma Bloxham, BBC Radio 3 Commissioning Editor, Live Music, who writes of the scheme: “It’s always an exciting moment when we reveal the names of those outstanding young musicians we’ve chosen to join the NGA family for the next two years. Each and every one of them brings something very special to the table, and I’ve absolutely no doubt their live concert performances and exclusive studio recordings will delight Radio 3 listeners. It’s a privilege to be involved with such talented young people at this stage in their careers, and we look forward to making great things happen together!”
We are delighted to have supported NOVO’s careers through our chamber talent programme for 24-25 in collaboration with the Danish String Quartet, who themselves are former BBC NGA participants. As part of our talent programme, we have provided mentorship and masterclasses with leading chamber teachers and musicians including Tim Frederiksen, Peter Herresthal, Missy Mazzoli, and members of DSQ, meetings with networks in the USA, and a trip to Svalbard for performances at the Arctic Chamber Music Festival. This May they also give their debut at the Bergen Festival with Saphir Quartet.
