We are thrilled to welcome Malin Broman and Anna Sonstad back to Summer Academy 2025!
Malin Broman is much in demand as an artistic director, soloist and chamber musician. Born in Sweden, Malin completed her studies in London with David Takeno. A passionate chamber musician she has toured and recorded extensively for the last twenty years as a member of the Kungsbacka Piano Trio, Stockholm Syndrome Ensemble and Nash Ensemble of London. In 2008 Malin was appointed concertmaster of the Swedish Radio Orchestra. She regularly directs the Swedish Radio Orchestra and is now in demand as a musical director/soloist. In 2019 she was awarded H.M the King’s medal for services to music. She plays a 1709 Stradivarius violin on kind loan from the Järnåker Foundation.
Violinist Anna Kolby Sonstad has recently joined the faculty at Ingesund School of Music as newly appointed violin teacher. Freshly graduated with dual artist diploma degrees from Ingesund School of Music and Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali di Reggio Emilia with professors Peter Herresthal and Simone Bernardini, she is at the beginning stages of an exciting career. She is making her mark as a chamber and orchestral musician, as well as a soloist and collaborator on projects that extend beyond the realm of classical music.
The strings course is from August 11-15, 2025.
