Meet the Trombone teachers at MusiPæd 2024, Jesper Juul and Ingemar Roos.

JESPER JUUL

Jesper Juul Windahl received his education as a trombonist at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus, and furthered his studies in i Paris, Chicago, and London, as well as The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM), where he made his debut in 1998. Jesper Juul Windahl is a highly regarded performing artist, who works internationally as orchestra musician, soloist, and chamber musician. He is an experienced educator, having taught at many conservatories, and is also active as a conductor, having received his education in conducting at RDAM.

INGEMAR ROOS

Ingemar Roos began a rich career in music with a degree in organ from Stockholm, followed by studying with trombone teachers such as Palmer Traulsen in Copenhagen, Denis Wick at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, and Jay Friedman in Chicago.

After a distinguished 45-year career in teaching, Ingemar Roos is now Professor Emeritus at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo and the Gothenburg University School of Music.
