We are very excited to announce that Magnus Staveland will be teaching at our Voice course at Voksenåsen Summer Academy 2025!
Tenor Magnus Staveland was born in Stavanger and studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo and the Opera Academy in Copenhagen. He has performed at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet on several occasions, and from autumn 2021, Staveland became a permanent soloist in the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet’s soloist ensemble.
Staveland has had an international career as a concert singer, opera singer, and recording artist. He has performed at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, La Fenice in Venice, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Teatro Real Madrid, Staatsoper Berlin, Theater an der Wien, Opéra Garnier in Paris, Théâtre de La Monnaie in Brussels, Opera Vlaanderen in Antwerp, Perm State Opera, Ho Chi Minh Opera House, the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, the Handel Festival in Halle, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, Opera de Rouen Normandie, Musikfest Bremen, and the Drottningholm Festival in Stockholm.
