Björn Nyman –
The Finnish clarinetist Björn Nyman is one of the leading clarinetists of his generation in the Nordic region and is a sought-after chamber musician and soloist. He studied with Professor Hans Christian Bræin and Leif Arne Pedersen at the Norwegian State Academy of Music, where also Nyman himself teaches today, and with Yehuda Gilad at the University of Southern California. Björn Nyman is a prizewinner in two of the world’s most prestigious clarinet competitions: the ARD competition in 2003 and the Carl Nielsen competition 2005.
Björn has been teaching at the Summer Academy for the past ten years and we are so happy to have him back this summer!
