ABOUT THE SUMMER ACADEMY COURSE
The aim is to give the participants highly qualitiative teaching, and musical inspiration.
The Summer Academy is continuously evolving, with the Norwegian Academy of Music as its main collaboration partner. There is also a close and inspired cooperation with the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Royal College of Music in London, The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Dextra Musica and the Swedish – Norwegian Cooperation Fund.
Participants will earn 3 ECTS for the course at Voksenåsen. The student must meet the general admission standards for Norwegian Universities to earn the credits.To meet general admission standards for Norwegian Universities you need to have completed High School or the equivalent. Norwegian students at this level are generally at least 19 years old. If you were born in 2003 or later we might need further information about your academic level for you to be able to earn the ECTS. If more documentation is required we will let you know.

Summer Academy Voice and Baroque: August 1-6. Course starts August 1st at 10.00.
Summer Academy Junior Voice: August 1-4
Passive participation and pedagogues: the course is open for passive participation, and two of the days there will be extra program for pedagogues with lectures on, among other things, anatomy and building young voices. Tickets for passive participation and lectures will be sold.

Summer Academy Winds: August 8-13.
Summer Academy Strings: August 8-13. Cello from August 7
Summer Academy Chamber Music: August 8-13. Only for strings
There will be masterclasses roughly from 10.00-18.00 Monday to Friday both weeks. Lunch is from 12-14 and dinner is from 18.00 every day.
There will also be possibilities for running, walks in the woods, trips to nearby lakes and so forth.
There will be house concerts roughly every night, which the students can sign up to play in. First come, first serve.
Friday there will be a final concert followed by dinner for all participants and teachers. The programme for the final concert is decided by the Artistic Directors, together with the teachers, and it is not possible for all students to play in this concert.
Saturday there are no lessons, but departure after breakfast.
